I really got into The Boxcar Children when I was a kid and I later found out my sister did as well. I loved it and so did the kids. It inspired us all to daydream about living in an abandoned train car. It is so simply written and yet has so much power to hold children spellbound.
We haven't ventured into the boxcar children mystery series but if we don't find another favorite soon, we may go there.
