Picture Frame Molding

 Okay, first step accomplished. I installed picture frame molding by following the directions found at three sites: This Old House, Southern Hospitality, and Our Old House. This is definitely the first time I've done any carpentry work of this magnitude. I even operated a nail gun for the first time. Yikes.

I used This Old House to figure out the measurements. I probably did it most like Rhoda from Southern Hospitality with a mitre box, liquid nails, finishing nails, and I'm planning on finishing it off with semi-gloss white trim paint. Our Old House was helpful with figuring out how to build the frames on the wall, caulking, and the small details you want to know before trying a project.
Now on to painting...
