Painting Glass

I saw this on pinterest and since I was about to get rid of the plain glass vase, I thought I'd give it a try. I haven't spray painted too much and this proved to be a good test.

I turned it upside down so the paint wouldn't get inside. Then I could still fill it up with water without paint chipping off. Here it is after I finished. Pretty good, right?

Until I turn it around and you can see how I tried to "fix" it. There were some drips as I was too hasty trying to lay it on and then tried to clean them up. Lesson: follow instructions and spray very lightly to avoid drips. It's better to spray two or three more coats than trying to get it done too fast and ending up with an unfixable mess.
So for now I'll turn it around and display it on a shelf so you can't see the bad side until I figure it's long-term future.

I think that's pretty darn clever, actually. Good on you.
